justify;\">Soy catedr\u00e1tico de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica en la Escuela de Ingenier\u00eda y Arquitectura (EINA) de la Universidad de Zaragoza (UNIZAR) desde junio de 2017. Mi trayectoria acad\u00e9mica comenz\u00f3 con una licenciatura en 1989, seguida de un grado de licenciado en ciencias (Qu\u00edmica) con especializaci\u00f3n en Qu\u00edmica T\u00e9cnica\/Industrial en 1990. Obtuve mi doctorado en la misma instituci\u00f3n en 1994, completando el programa de doctorado en Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mi investigaci\u00f3n se centr\u00f3 inicialmente en la desactivaci\u00f3n de catalizadores debido a la formaci\u00f3n de coque (predoctoral). Posteriormente, al finalizar mi tesis doctoral, me brindaron la oportunidad de investigar en los aspectos de la seguridad de los reactores fuera de control (runaway reactions). Desde 2002, mi investigaci\u00f3n se ha centrado principalmente en la producci\u00f3n, purificaci\u00f3n y utilizaci\u00f3n del hidr\u00f3geno como vector energ\u00e9tico, siempre utilizando m\u00e9todos no convencionales. Concretamente he trabajado en la producci\u00f3n y purificaci\u00f3n de hidr\u00f3geno en un mismo proceso, a partir de gases procedentes de la pir\u00f3lisis de gas natural, biog\u00e1s, fracciones de bio-oil, y tambi\u00e9n en su transformaci\u00f3n en biocombustibles, en particular el biometano, utilizando residuos agr\u00edcolas, ganaderos y urbanos. He sido coautor de m\u00e1s de cincuenta art\u00edculos indexados, principalmente en revistas de categor\u00eda Q1, y he realizado m\u00e1s de ciento cincuenta contribuciones a conferencias, muchas de las cuales se celebraron en el \u00e1mbito internacional. He sido IP en 12 de los 34 proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n en los que he participado, tanto institucionales como financiados por empresas, y tambi\u00e9n soy coautor de una patente de USPTO con aplicaciones industriales, concedida en 2000. A lo largo de mi trayectoria acad\u00e9mica, he realizado estancias en el extranjero; concretamente, realic\u00e9 una estancia en la Universidad de Salford (Reino Unido) durante mis estudios de doctorado, y realic\u00e9 una estancia posdoctoral en la empresa Fauske &amp; Associates en Illinois, EE. UU. Adem\u00e1s, he codirigido, por el momento, diez tesis doctorales y he sido reconocido con sexenios, el \u00faltimo hasta 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde una perspectiva educativa, he tenido el privilegio de ense\u00f1ar varias asignaturas en la titulaci\u00f3n de Ciencias Qu\u00edmicas (Facultad de Ciencias), Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda de los Alimentos (Facultad de Veterinaria) e Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica (Escuela de Ingenier\u00eda y Arquitectura). Tambi\u00e9n he participado en programas de m\u00e1ster nacionales y europeos, y he ofrecido cursos especializados en el programa de doctorado en Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica y del Medio Ambiente de UNIZAR, programa con reconocimiento de calidad desde 2005. Actualmente, estoy involucrado en la ense\u00f1anza de programas de m\u00e1ster en Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica, Energ\u00edas Renovables y Eficiencia Energ\u00e9tica, y soy el codirector del M\u00e1ster Interuniversitario en Tecnolog\u00edas del Hidr\u00f3geno (MITH) en la Universidad de Zaragoza desde su comienzo. Mi experiencia docente abarca las \u00e1reas de Simulaci\u00f3n y Optimizaci\u00f3n de Procesos Qu\u00edmicos, An\u00e1lisis de Seguridad y Riesgo en la Industria Qu\u00edmica y Energ\u00eda del Hidr\u00f3geno. He sido reconocido por mis esfuerzos docentes con seis quinquenios, el \u00faltimo otorgado en 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Una parte significativa de mi carrera acad\u00e9mica tambi\u00e9n ha estado dedicada a diversos puesto vinculados a la gesti\u00f3n universitaria. Fui Profesor Secretario del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica y Tecnolog\u00edas Ambientales (IQTMA) desde 2000 hasta 2002 y Subdirector del Centro Polit\u00e9cnico Superior (actualmente Escuela de Ingenier\u00eda y Arquitectura - EINA), desde 2002 hasta 2007, ambos en UNIZAR. Adem\u00e1s, ocup\u00e9 el cargo de Subdirector del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ingenier\u00eda de Arag\u00f3n (I3A) desde 2008 hasta 2015, y nuevamente desde 2019 hasta 2023. En este mismo Instituto tambi\u00e9n coordin\u00e9 la Divisi\u00f3n de Procesos y Reciclado desde 2008 hasta 2015 y desde 2019 hasta 2023. Tambi\u00e9n he dedicado tiempo a la consultor\u00eda en agencias de investigaci\u00f3n y prospectiva, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, incluyendo organizaciones sudamericanas, europeas y de Oriente Medio. He participado activamente en procesos relacionados con la evaluaci\u00f3n y acreditaci\u00f3n de la calidad y la estandarizaci\u00f3n desde 2005, trabajando con instituciones privadas como AENOR y entidades p\u00fablicas como ANECA, la Fundaci\u00f3n MADRI+D y DEVA-AAC. Mi participaci\u00f3n en la gobernanza acad\u00e9mica incluye cargos como vocal (representante de \u00e1reas t\u00e9cnicas) en la Comisi\u00f3n de Investigaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Zaragoza desde 1998 hasta 2002, presidente de la Comisi\u00f3n de Grado en Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica, presidente de la Comisi\u00f3n de Investigaci\u00f3n y la Comisi\u00f3n de Garant\u00eda de Calidad del I3A, as\u00ed como miembro de la Comisi\u00f3n de Calidad de Grado y M\u00e1ster en EINA.
