ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is David Ruiz-Alejos Rodríguez, and I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Zaragoza. I previously completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (2020–2024) at the same institution, graduating with high distinction. My Bachelor’s Thesis focused on: “Intensification of the CO₂ methanation process using Ni-Fe catalysts supported on Zeolite 13X in a fixed-bed reactor,” which earned the COGITIAR Award for Best Final Degree Project in Chemical Engineering (2023–2024).

I am currently gaining hands-on research experience as an intern in the Catalysis and Reactor Engineering Group (CREG) at the I3A, where I contributed to the EBHUC project (Energy harvesting from Biogas and renewable Hydrogen intensified through tri-functional solids and Unconventional reactor Configurations). In 2024, I also participated in the SECAT “Introduction to Research in Catalysis” program, working on multifunctional catalytic solids for the intensification of biogas methanation.

I’m interested in finding practical solutions to current challenges, especially in the field of sustainability. I enjoy learning, working as part of a team, and contributing to meaningful projects. I’m motivated to keep improving and to grow through new experiences.
