New reactors have been studied for the title reactions. For the selective oxidation of methane, fluidized bed reactors with two zones have been studied. In them, the catalyst is oxidized in the lower zone in an oxygen rich atmosphere and the hydrocarbon oxidation occurs in the upper zone, using the oxygen transported in the crystalline structure of the catalyst. The hydrogenation of CO2 to methanol has been studied in a membrane reactor, in which the membrane selectively removes the water formed in the reaction. Various types of membranes have been studied.
